Your mission

Own reliability on shift: stabilize equipment, prevent failures, and lead hands-on fixes that keep our lines safe and productive — while sharing knowledge so the whole team levels up.

Success profile — what you’ll handle

• Lead complex maintenance activities and coach junior technicians.
• Troubleshoot motion control and electrical/electronic circuits and sensors at a basic level; interpret mechanical and wiring interconnect drawings and service manuals.
• Perform PMs (lubrication, alignments/adjustments, part repairs, safety and operational checks) and complete precise documentation.
• Repair sophisticated manufacturing equipment with minimal instruction; prioritize outages and multitask under time pressure.
• Service/overhaul key components: air/hydraulic cylinders and motors, valve assemblies, pumps, motion elements, and support subsystems.
• Work in confined spaces; keep safety at the forefront while complying with company and OSHA guidelines.
• Operate forklifts and lifting equipment (hoists, boom cranes, cherry pickers, scissor lifts).
• Run shop equipment (bandsaw, hydraulic press, lathe, mill, brake/shear) and apply general facility maintenance skills (plumbing, electrical, construction, rigging, anchoring, cabinetry).
• Use advanced/basics tools: gear pullers, honing/lapping tools, precision levels and alignment tools; power tools including hydraulic power jacks, belt lacing machines, and mag drills.
• Bring and secure your own standard hand tools.
• Work efficiently with limited supervision and maintain an orderly workspace.

Schedule, location, and flexibility

• Where: 7220 US 158, Stokesdale, NC
• When: 2nd shift, Monday–Friday, 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m.
• Be available for other shifts and overtime with short notice to meet production demands.

What you’ll bring

• 2-year technical training or 5+ years of related maintenance experience.
• Advanced capability in at least one discipline: complex mechanical systems, electrical controls, electronics, PLC programming/troubleshooting, sensors/sensing.
• Proven Lockout/Tagout experience.
• Basic computer proficiency, solid mechanical skills, and clear written/verbal communication.

Bonus qualifications

• Basic PLC coding/programming.
• Experience with HVAC, compressed air, dust collection, and electrical distribution.

Physical realities of the job

• Lift up to 50 lbs; stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, climb stairs.
• Comfort at heights over 30 ft; indoors/outdoors in high heat or extreme cold/wind.
• Factory environment with dust, heat over 95°F, and noise.
• Exposure to wood dust and aluminum with no factors or hazards present to a disagreeable extent.

Compensation & total rewards

• Hourly range: $25.00–$27.50 plus benefits.
• Base pay varies with job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This information is specific to Colfax, NC and may not be applicable to other locations.
