JOB TITLE : Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA)
DEPARTMENT : Integrated Health Services
FLSA : Full-Time; Hourly/Non-Exempt
DURATION : OPEN Until Filled
HIRING RANGE : $16.00/hour to $20.00 per hour
The Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA) will perform clinical duties in outpatient clinical care. In this role, you will assist the provider (Physician/Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant) with medical procedures and tests in conjunction with patient visits. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Patient triage
- Obtain lab specimens, give injections, draw blood, and perform routine medical tests.
- Provide patient education and make referral appointments.
- Performs light housekeeping chores.
- Perform admin duties such as maintaining patient records, receiving telephone calls, answering inquiries, and/or refers questions to appropriate staff members.
QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is Preferred.
Current CPR/BLS certification is required.
Must be knowledgeable of HIV, and Sexual Transmitted Diseases. SKILLS/ABILITIES : Maintain confidentiality; Good computer skills; Well-organized with good oral and written communication skills.
