Live Haul Dispatcher 2nd Shift

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Answer all incoming phone calls and direct accordingly.
• Dispatch live haul trucks in efficient, cost effective manner.
• Follow proper procedure in weighing live haul trucks to ensure compliance with all rules and laws.
• Manage proper paperwork. Keep live haul tickets in order.
• Maintain accurate zero tare sheets.
• Manage calls from drivers in the field to insure trucks arrive at the farms on time.
• Communicate with drivers, dispatchers, and supervisors at shift change of current status and issues.
• Communicate any issues that arise with drivers, growers, and live haul manager.
• Turn in all scale tickets to accounting office at the end of work week.
• Scheduling live haul trucks on shift and anticipating when drivers are scheduled to return ensuring drivers are on time.
• Willing to work 9:30 am until end of shift hours
• Observe all company policies and procedures and adhere to all safety and regulatory requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have clean driving record
• Must have NC CDL Class A license

EXPERIENCE:

• Previous live haul experience is a plus.
• Previous dispatching experience preferred.

STRONG MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

• Ability to add and subtract five digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
