Minimum 1+ years Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist experience and ARRT certification required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Join a dynamic Interventional Radiology (IR) team at a leading Level 1 Trauma Center in High Point, NC, offering an exciting travel opportunity. This role requires a skilled IR Tech with a minimum of 2 years experience in IR Body and/or IR Neuro, preferably at a Level 1 Trauma Center setting. This position supports a busy department performing 45-50 cases daily with cutting-edge imaging technology in an academic medical center environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scrub and assist in interventional radiology procedures including comprehensive stroke interventions, complex embolizations, thrombectomies, biopsies, and drainage procedures
- Circulate during procedures by operating equipment and providing necessary supplies
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including neuro radiologists, neurosurgeons, and body interventionalists
- Support room turnover, transport, and inventory management alongside tech extenders and RNs
- Adhere to hospital protocols including call schedules and holiday rotations
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of IR experience specific to Body and/or Neuro at a Level 1 Trauma Center
- ARRT-R or RCIS certification
- Current BLS certification
- Experience with Siemens, GE, and Philips imaging systems and GE ultrasound units
- Comfortable working with new graduates and providing preceptorship as needed
Schedule & Shift Details:
- Shift options include 3-12 hour shifts, 4-10 hour shifts (08:00-18:30), and 5-8 hour shifts (08:00-16:30)
- Call required, averaging 3-4 call days/month with weekend call approximately every 5th-6th weekend
- Holiday coverage expected 75% of the time when scheduled
