What You'll Do

  • Review construction plans, drawings, and specifications to prepare detailed estimates.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and calculations to ensure accurate material, labor, and equipment costs.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and operations teams to verify feasibility, pricing, and delivery timelines.
  • Prepare quotes, submittals, and bid documentation in accordance with company standards.
  • Maintain organized records of all estimates, quotes, and historical cost data.
  • Communicate effectively with the sales team to clarify project requirements and provide technical support.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency in project proposals.
  • Track and report on project bid status and opportunities to the Estimating Manager.
  • Support continuous improvement of estimating processes and procedures.

What You'll Need

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP, CRM, and estimating software preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • 1-3 years of estimating experience in construction, precast, or manufacturing industries.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

You're Education

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
