Robotics & Vision Applications Engineer (Early Career)
Must have SOME Robotics experience
We’re recruiting on behalf of a global industrial automation company launching a new Robotics & Vision product group in the Research Triangle Park, NC area, with relocation assistance available for candidates moving to the region. This is a rare opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer to join at the ground level and grow alongside a new robotics and vision portfolio.
This role is intentionally designed for someone pursuing a long-term career in robotics and automation. A genuine interest in robotics is essential for success in this position.
What You’ll Do
Support robotics and vision applications for OEMs and system integrators
Assist with application setup, testing, and troubleshooting
Collaborate with engineering, product, sales, and factory teams
Help commission and validate robotic and vision systems
Grow into a trusted technical resource as the product line expands
What You’ll Bring
Exposure to SCARA robots and 2D vision systems
Experience working with robot controllers
Programming experience in any language
Familiarity with power electronics or industrial systems
Hands-on robotics exposure through coursework, internships, co-ops, or academic projects
This role requires prior robotics exposure and a clear interest in pursuing robotics as a long-term career path
Nice to Have
Collaborative or 6-axis industrial robots
Vision-guided robotics or simulation tools
Industrial networking or safety systems
System integration or commissioning exposure
Additional Details
Full-time, direct-hire role
Travel: Approximately 20–50%
Compensation: Starting salary in the low-to-mid $70Ks, with strong growth potential based on experience and performance
