Yard Foreman - Raleigh

The primary responsibility of the Yard Manager is to supervise and directly manage yard personnel and all material leaving and returning to the yard. Demonstrate in all work a commitment to our Vision, Mission, and Values, and our Guiding Principles- with a relentless focus on Continuous Improvement and Quality in all that we do. This is a hands-on, actively involved role.
Responsibilities:
1. Safety
 Drive Safety. 100% safe, 100% of the time.
 Demonstrate and expect 100% compliance with Safety and Operating Rules and Policies.
 Help ensure a safe workplace for employees through site evaluations and observations.
 Coach to ensure a culture of, and a commitment to, Safety Enabled Production by embracing and promoting the belief that Safety and Operational Excellence are intimately linked.
2. Service
 Ensure that we are clearly detailing our commitments to the customers and employees and that we deliver on those commitments every time.
 Provide timely and thoughtful responses to inquiries, outreach, and project performance concerns.
3. Essential Duties
 Ensures safe operations with assigned employees.
 Ensure employees are tracking and documenting all material movement.
 Assess employee skills and provides training and coaching to the employee.
 Properly assign work to employees with a clear understanding of the task that is being completed.
 Assist with pulling and putting back of material.
 Keep the yard clean and orderly.
 Review maintenance records for compliance.
 Ensure equipment operators utilize assets in accordance with manufacturer instructions and company policies.
 Ensure the proper transfer of all material and loads tales place.
 Identifies improvement opportunities and communicates with management.
 Coordinate material pickups and deliveries between job locations.
Makes delieveries and pickups as needed.
 Communicate with Supervisors to make jobs more efficient.
 Directly responsible for the Richmond yard and staff.
 Communicate with procurement on ordering all material to help supervisors get the jobs in the field done efficiently.
 Ensure all material is clean, in good condition, and acceptable to customers (clean, paint, and power wash)
 Conduct periodic audits / review of employee performance
4. Administration
 Complete documents as required.
 Track cost and completion schedules.
 Actively track problems and respond with appropriate resolution actions.
 Adhere to Company policy compliance.
 Build, promote and protect the Company’s brand image.
5. Miscellaneous
 Constantly grow product knowledge and application expertise with continuing education and training with the goal of becoming a “Subject Matter Expert” related to Scaffolding Solutions company capabilities and the Access Products it utilizes.
 Address and engage in Special Projects and other duties as assigned.
