Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Greensboro, NC (27401) – North Carolina nursing jobs
• Facility Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation Department
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens travel RN contract
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 09/09/2025 – End: 12/09/2025)
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts/week (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680-$1730
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Every third weekend and holidays as needed
• Floating: Required between all Cone Health campuses

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – North Carolina or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care rehab experience (no first-time travelers)
• BLS certification required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Ability to pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)
• Compliance file completion by deadline (12 noon EST, Wednesday prior to start date)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• Education verification through third party required
• No locals accepted (must reside outside 50-mile radius of Greensboro, NC)

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injuries, neurological diagnoses, and generalized debility
• Perform medication reconciliation, vital sign monitoring, dressing changes, and aseptic/sterile procedures
• Manage feeding tubes, assistive devices, ports, and mechanical ventilation
• Conduct patient assessments, teaching, and safety evaluations (fall risk, pressure ulcer prevention, stroke scale assessment)
• Administer blood products, anti-seizure and anti-coagulant medications, and perform venous blood draws
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, respiratory, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response)
• Float to other units/campuses as required
• Complete required modules and orientation (average 2-4 hours, unit-based)
