Manual Quality Assurance (QA)
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Manual Quality Assurance (QA) in Charlotte, NC. About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Functional QA Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in manual functional testing, API validation using Postman, solid SQL skills, and experience working in Agile development environments. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to ensure we deliver high-quality, reliable software to our users. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review and understand requirements, acceptance criteria, and business logic
- Design and execute manual functional test cases based on user stories, requirements, and design documents
- Perform API testing using Postman, validating request/response accuracy, status codes, error handling, and performance
- Write and execute SQL queries to validate data integrity and perform backend testing
- Identify, document, and track bugs in a clear and concise manner using tools such as JIRA
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos
- Contribute to the QA process by suggesting improvements in test strategy and coverage
- Assist in creating and maintaining test documentation and regression test suites
