How You’ll Help Us Connect the World

As a Test Engineer Intern, you will be responsible for test lab activities as part of the CCS Business Unit. You will work closely with lab personnel and development engineering to perform verification and validation testing of copper cable and apparatus. This role will be based in Claremont, NC.

You Will Make an Impact By

  • Gaining knowledge of industry standards.
  • Conducting mechanical, electrical, and transmission testing.
  • Optimizing hardware and software test platforms.
  • Authoring Standard Work Instructions.

Required Qualifications for Consideration

  • Actively pursuing a bachelor’s (upcoming sophomores, juniors & seniors) or master’s degree in the following Mechanical / Electrical disciplines from an accredited university
  • Proven strong academic performer with a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Mechanical / Electrical Engineering Background
  • Knowledgeable of lab instrumentation (e.g., digital mulitmeters, soldering, tensile tests)
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship
  • Military-Affiliated candidates encouraged to apply (Veterans, Military Spouses, and Guard/Reservists)

  • Possess LabView programming language certification(s).
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Show innovation through unique ideas and propose them to the team
  • Able to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and effectively meet deadlines
  • Strategic and creative thinking; distinguished written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong initiative; a self-starter with analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and flexible to changing priorities
