Hospital Dietitian Job Details

• Job Title: Registered Dietitian – Acute Care Hospital
• Employment Type: Travel contract
• Location: Greensboro, NC 27401
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1800-$1840/week
• Healthcare Setting: Acute care hospital (200+ beds preferred)
• Schedule: Day shifts, Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm
• Shift Duration: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Contract Length: 12 weeks (Start: 9/23/2025 – End: 12/16/2025)
• Floating: May float to other units/campuses as needed (ICUs, progressive care, rehab, orthopedic, med/surg, etc.)
• Orientation: 12 hours of in-person orientation plus 4 hours of additional online modules (16 hours total)

Registered Dietitian Qualifications

• Active Registered Dietitian (RD) license in North Carolina
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care inpatient dietitian experience (200+ bed facility preferred)
• At least 1 year of pediatric nutrition experience
• BLS certification required
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system
• Skilled in Nutrition Focused Physical Exam and malnutrition identification
• Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Dietitian Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and create individualized nutrition care plans for adult and geriatric patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, respiratory, pharmacy, social services)
• Support patients with diverse diagnoses including heart failure, diabetes, stroke, trauma, oncology, renal failure, and GI issues
• Utilize EPIC for accurate documentation and charting
• Float to various hospital units as needed to provide clinical nutrition support
• Ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance in all aspects of nutrition care
• Participate in orientation modules and maintain adherence to hospital standards
