FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
This position has typical work hours Monday – Friday from 7:30AM – 5:00PM, Saturday as needed
Job Summary:
The Industrial Tire Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of tires on industrial equipment such as forklifts, loaders, skid steers, and other heavy machinery. This role ensures equipment operates safely and efficiently by providing high-quality tire service in both shop and field environments.
Essential Functions and Tasks:
- Mount, dismount, and repair industrial tires, including pneumatic, solid, and press-on tires
- Inspect tires and wheels for damage, wear, and safety issues
- Perform preventative maintenance and recommend tire replacements when necessary
- Operate specialized equipment such as tire presses, forklifts, and service trucks
- Respond to on-site service calls and emergency roadside/field repairs
- Maintain accurate service records and complete work orders
- Follow all safety procedures and OSHA regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Assist with inventory management and tracking tire stock
- Any other duties assigned by the store manager
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience in tire service, automotive, or heavy equipment maintenance
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools
- Valid driver’s license
- CDL A is a plus, but not required
- Clean driving record
- Ability to lift heavy tires (often 50–100+ lbs) and perform physically demanding work
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Required Physical Abilities:
Physical requirements of this position may require a range of activities. These can include, but are not limited to:
- Lifting and carrying – the ability to lift and transport objects of specified weights, which may vary by job. For example, a job may require lifting up 25-50lbs regularly.
- Standing and walking – this position will require standing and walking for periods of time
- Bending and stooping – bending, stooping, or crouching are requiring to effectively preform essential duties of this position.
- Reaching and pushing/pulling – the ability to reach for items, push carts, or pull equipment will be necessary for daily activities.
- Sitting – there will be times this position will be needed to sit for prolonged periods of time.
- This position will also be required to operate certain machinery and other equipment safely.
Work Environment:
- Shop and field-based (construction sites, warehouses, industrial facilities)
- Exposure to noise, heavy equipment, and varying weather conditions
