Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room nursing experience
• Clinical expertise in cardiac, neuro, thoracic, orthopedic, and vascular surgical procedures
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced surgical healthcare environment

OR RN Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in the Operating Room, ensuring safety and comfort during surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers in cardiac, neuro, thoracic, orthopedic, and vascular surgeries
• Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with hospital protocols
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve high-quality patient outcomes
• Float to other surgical units as needed to support clinical operations
