WORK and TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS: This role is a full-time, non-exempt position. This role will be located in the Emerald Isle, NC office. Work from office policy is in effect for three days a week (Tuesday to Thursday). ABOUT THE POSITION AND OUR TEAM: The Payroll and HRIS Administrator role will be responsible for overseeing and managing TransImpact's multi-state payroll and HRIS. This role ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll and maintains the integrity of employee data in the HRIS. This role reports to the Manager of Human Resources. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Process semi-monthly payroll accurately and timely, adhering to established policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Review and reconcile annual computations for W-2 reporting and distribution.
- Oversee the HRIS and ensure accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Calculate wages, salaries, overtime, and deductions based on timekeeping and attendance records.
- Calculate and submit bonus information and complete the year-end one-pager process.
- Verify the accuracy of payroll data and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare and distribute reports, as needed, for audits, accruals, anniversaries, acquisitions, or other requests for information stored in the HRIS.
- Complete financial-related employment verifications and mortgage verifications.
- Oversee the integrations between HRIS and vendors and ensure that the data feeds are accurate, timely, and successful.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant multi-state wage and hour, tax, and garnishment laws.
- Maintain data integrity and confidentiality of employee information.
- Assist in auditing all monthly insurance billing and ensure deductions are correct within the HRIS.
- Oversee the offboarding and bereavement processes.
- May assist with other HR processes and projects, as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS REQUIRED: - High school diploma or equivalent and one to three years of payroll or human resources experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes and associated tax regulations.
- Proficient in using payroll software and HRIS; experience with Paylocity is a plus.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a changing environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative to identify opportunities for process improvements.
- This position requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
