Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Greensboro, NC 27401 (North Carolina nursing jobs)
• Unit: Medical/Surgical Telemetry (Med/Surg Tele)
• Position Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Registered Nurse
• Assignment Dates: October 7, 2025 – January 6, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), every other weekend & holidays as needed
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Charting System: EPIC (EPIC experience required)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1820 - $1870 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications (preferred)
• EPIC charting experience (required)
• Ability to pass EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
• Previous charge nurse experience (preferred)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• Willingness to float to other units or campuses as needed
• Compliance file completion by 12 noon EST the Wednesday prior to start date
• No local candidates within 50 miles (travel nursing requirement)

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with diverse medical and surgical diagnoses, including observation, respiratory, palliative, end-of-life, hospice, psychiatric observation, diabetes management, and post-surgical care
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and EKG rhythms
• Administer medications, blood products, manage IVs, and provide wound care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, respiratory, pharmacy, etc.)
• Document patient care in EPIC electronic health record system
• Float to other units or campuses as required
• Participate in rapid response and code teams as needed
• Maintain strict adherence to scheduling, attendance, and compliance requirements
