Respiratory Therapist Job Details

• Shifts: Variable – 3x12-hour shifts per week (rotating days and nights, 7:00am-7:00pm or 7:00pm-7:00am)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1800 - $1840
• Patient Population: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics

Registered Respiratory Therapist Qualifications

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist (2 years preferred)
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
• Experience in Emergency Department, Med-Surg, and Critical Care Units
• Proficient in respiratory-driven protocols and ventilator/NIV management
• Community hospital experience required
• Meditech charting experience preferred
• Ability to work independently, prioritize patient care, and float within the hospital as needed

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics
• Implement and manage ventilator and non-invasive ventilation (NIV) protocols
• Respond to rapid response and emergency situations as part of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
• Accurately document assessments, treatments, and patient progress in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Float to various hospital units as required, supporting clinical teams across departments
• Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training
