Job Purpose Summary:
The Sales Support Team Member helps maintain and expand Joe Van Gogh’s wholesale relationships. This position visits customer accounts, assists with deliveries, and helps with grocery demos. It requires a fluid work schedule and must address immediate issues/concerns that come up during the workweek.
Reports To : Sales Manager Status: Full Time/HybridResponsibilities
- Assists in facilitation of wholesale customer onboarding process by training on site, building rapport with account leadership, and troubleshooting issues with equipment.
- Schedules and completes regular on-site visits; documents equipment specs and condition, product quality, use of branded materials, and other details in CRM.
- Brainstorms and tests strategies to build internal sales of seasonal coffees and allied products, highlight new product releases, and encourage training participation.
- Works with Sales Team to create wholesale program structures to improve efficiency and performance metrics to track progress of Joe Van Gogh’s wholesale strategy.
- Act as a liaison for customers in our growing ecosystem.
- Sales Support Team Member is encouraged to think outside the box and be innovative with what businesses may be interested in carrying Joe Van Gogh products.
- Help coordinate and participate in grocery demos.
- Assist with deliveries.
Job Requirements
- 36 – 40 hours per week.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively.
- 1+ years of specialty coffee experience.
- Strong motivation and ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated teaching ability, passion for helping others learn.
- Time management skills and flexibility in prioritization.
- Criminal background check as required by JVG’s institutional partners.
- Ability to work weekends and on call.
- Some out-of-town travel required.
- Reliable transportation and a valid NC Driver’s License.
- Prolonged, frequent ingestion of coffee and tea.
- Prolonged periods of time on feet.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
- Requires significant driving to and from customers’ accounts.
