Controller

Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Mooresville, North Carolina. This long-term contract position involves overseeing financial operations, implementing accounting controls, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting organizational goals through effective budgeting and reporting. Responsibilities: - Establish and document accounting policies and procedures while implementing robust controls to safeguard transactions. - Supervise the preparation of monthly financial statements, including trial balances, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and profit and loss reports for multiple business units. - Evaluate the organization's performance against its annual budget and long-term strategic objectives. - Collaborate with department leaders to analyze budget trends and ensure accurate allocation of transactions to respective departments. - Oversee accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems to ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and regulatory standards. - Maintain an up-to-date record of company assets and depreciation schedules, while reviewing inventory practices for accurate financial reporting. - Ensure strong internal controls are in place and manage all audit-related activities. - Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making and operational efficiency. Requirements - Proven experience in document control and management, including document scanning and compiling. - Advanced proficiency in financial management systems, including Sage ERP - Strong background in manufacturing finance and accounting practices. - CPA designation is required for this role. - MBA or equivalent advanced degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred. - Extensive knowledge of regulatory compliance and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. - Exceptional analytical and communication skills to effectively manage cross-departmental collaboration.
