We are seeking a Nursing Instructor to join our team at Ramsgate Family Care Home in Durham, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for educating and training nursing staff to ensure the highest standards of care for our residents. Your expertise will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of care provided at our facility. In addition, we are seeking nurses to teach classes at our facility to a group of 10 or less students who are trying to pass the state exam for the Medication Tech course. Obtaining the MedTech certificate will allow persons to pass out medication to patients/residents who reside in Family Care Homes.

We also are looking to have registered nurses teach our courses on Infection Control, Bloodborne Pathogens, and First Aid for Healthcare workers.

We are looking for RNs who would like to teach Medication Aide classes top people who are working in assisted living facilities and need to get certification to pass out medication in family care homes. For those nurses interested, we will provide you with the NC State Medication Aide manual, which is the text that you will be utilizing to teach the class. This course is one of our premier courses that we offer our students. Not only do we own and operate a family care home, which is Ramsgate Family Care Home, llc, but we also operate a separate business, Family Care Home Policy and Procedures Group, llc, where we teach allied healthcare courses.

We are hiring new RNs and experienced nurse educators to teach all of our allied health classes. Our allied health course we offer nurses to teach are: Infection Control, Bloodborne Pathogens, and First Aid for Healthcare Workers. The Medication Technician course if our premier course.

The Medication Technician course is usually taught within a 5-hour span of time. The teaching time can differ from person to person depending on their style and method of teaching. Once you receive the Medication Technician manual, you can implement your own teaching style and methodology of teaching the course. The manual also comes with a study guide, sample questions, sample MARs, and an answer key to all the questions.

Responsibilities

• We utilize the curricula outlined in ja manual designed by DHSR/ DHHS for all classes we teach.
• Conduct training sessions and workshops on best practices in patient care.
• Conduct the class session using practical training and provide constructive feedback to the students.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the training programs and make necessary adjustments.
• Stay updated on current nursing practices and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages professional growth.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license in North Carolina.
• Experience in nursing education or training preferred.
• Strong knowledge of acute and critical care practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop engaging educational materials.
• Experience with adult education principles is highly desirable.
