ICU RN Job Details – Sanford, NC

• Location: Sanford, NC 27330
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1800-$1840
• Healthcare Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) – 8 beds, all ages
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 9/7/2025 – End: 12/7/2025)
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
• Weekend/Call: Every other weekend; call as needed
• Electronic Health Record: Cerner
• Dress Code: Scrub color of your choice

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license eligible for North Carolina (NC nursing license)
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI/HWC/MAB, NIHSS (all must be current prior to start)
• Strong clinical skills and ability to care for high acuity patients
• Ability to float as needed (nurse-to-patient ratio 1:6)

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients of all ages in the ICU
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status, progress, and vital signs
• Respond to medical emergencies and deliver advanced life support as required
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Care for patients with common ICU diagnoses, including respiratory failure and other critical conditions
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and best practices in clinical care
