Commercial Maintenance Technician

Accentuate Staffing is assisting a client of ours in the Raleigh area recruit for a Commercial Maintenance Technician to join their team. In this role, you’ll work closely with property management and leasing staff to ensure properties are safe, functional, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling a variety of tasks across multiple trades. This is a direct hire opportunity working Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire alarms, etc.)
• Complete repair requests from tenants, performing work directly or coordinating with outside vendors as needed
• Maintain the safety and appearance of common areas, parking lots, and building exteriors
• Handle minor repair work such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, and light electrical tasks
• Keep maintenance areas organized, manage inventory of parts and supplies, and ensure work orders are properly documented

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications (HVAC, building maintenance, etc.) are a plus
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in property maintenance or a related trade
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems
• Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to work independently
• Must be physically able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, heights, noise)
• Flexible availability, including occasional on-call work for emergencies
• Must have a valid NC driver’s license
