Technical Maintenance Specialist

Join our vibrant team as a Technical Maintenance Specialist! Your role will include executing both routine and advanced maintenance duties, assisting with material handling equipment, and enhancing the appeal of our warehouse setting.

You'll engage in regular maintenance services according to established procedures on building facilities and machinery.

• Collaborate in formulating preventative maintenance strategies where they are undeveloped.
• Maintain precise and current documents related to preventative tasks.
• Ensure all materials essential for preventative maintenance are well-stocked and neatly organized.
• Diagnose issues with guidance from the maintenance lead if necessary.
• Decide on repair viability or the need for additional resources and communicate these needs effectively.
• Undertake repairs within your competence and scope.
• Commit to the repair process from start to finish, including identifying failure causes, hindering further downtime, and reporting work status to all stakeholders.
• Coordinate efforts with contractors performing onsite projects.
• Engage with the Maintenance Lead and Procurement for necessary repair acquisitions.
• Potentially engage in continuous improvement projects related to machinery or related processes.
• Participate in improvement events focused on maintenance such as RIE's or 5S methodologies.
• Pursue a continuous improvement mindset, proposing ideas for enhancing the maintenance department.

Your Contribution to the Team

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in facility upkeep, encompassing troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, electrical repairs, general maintenance, and knowledge of facility repairs.
• Certification or training in maintenance or electrical fields is an asset.
• Familiarity with CNC machine servicing is advantageous.
• Experience with autoclaves/gas or electric ovens is desirable.
• Skillfulness in technical assignments, proficiency in mechanical undertakings, capacity for effective troubleshooting, strong communication talents.
• Capability to perform manual tasks, occasionally lift up to 70 pounds, and operate in diverse conditions.
