As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help manage access control and screening at key entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, document incidents, and communicate clearly with team members and site leaders. You will remain visible to help to deter security-related concerns while delivering customer service with professionalism. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Screen employees, visitors, and contractors at entry points using walkthrough detectors, handheld wands, and/or X-ray equipment as required by post orders.
- Control access by verifying identification, confirming authorization, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and maintaining visitor and screening logs.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, unsecured doors, and/or policy violations and reporting findings per post orders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
