CMM Programmer

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced CMM Programmer to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will program and operate Hexagon Metrology CMMs using PC-DMIS to inspect high-precision medical implants and components. You will ensure all parts meet strict dimensional and documentation requirements consistent with FDA and ISO 13485 standards. Your work directly supports the quality, safety, and performance of products that improve patient lives.

Shift Options

• 2nd Shift: Four days per week, 10 hours per day
• Weekend Shift: Friday through Sunday, 5:45 AM to 6:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Program, operate, and optimize CMM inspection routines for medical implants and precision components
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD and T, and 3D CAD models to create accurate inspection plans
• Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on titanium and stainless steel parts
• Analyze measurement results, identify non-conformances, and recommend corrective actions
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to improve processes and inspection efficiency
• Maintain detailed inspection documentation to ensure full traceability and regulatory compliance
• Support gage R and R studies, calibration work, and validation activities
• Train and assist QC inspectors in CMM usage and inspection interpretation

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification in Quality, Metrology, or related field preferred
• 5+ years of CMM programming experience in a regulated, high-precision environment (medical device, aerospace, defense, etc.)
• Strong proficiency in GD and T, blueprint reading, and 3D CAD interpretation (SolidWorks or equivalent)
• Hands-on experience with CMM software; PC-DMIS strongly preferred
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
• Solid understanding of quality standards and documentation requirements in regulated industries
