Maintenance Crew Member/ Driver
Overview:
The Maintenance Crew Member plays a vital role in performing landscape maintenance tasks efficiently, safely, and in alignment with Yardnique’s commitment to superior quality and exceptional customer service. Under the direction of a Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader, you will help ensure that all properties are maintained to the highest standards and consistently meet client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform assigned property maintenance tasks efficiently, following production goals, customer service standards, and daily supervisory instructions.
Adhere to all company safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
Safely and effectively operate landscape equipment, including hand tools, ride-on, walk-behind, and push mowers; edgers, trimmers, blowers, thatchers, overseeders, and other maintenance tools.
Mow, edge, and maintain turf areas weekly, ensuring hardscapes and beds are properly edged, weeded, and watered.
Prune shrubs and perform other plant care tasks with assistance from the detail crew, as needed.
Report damaged trees, missing plants, irrigation issues, or other concerns to the supervisor promptly.
Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and blade conditions.
Accurately record work hours in accordance with company time-reporting procedures.
Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with team members, supervisors, and other staff.
Comply with all personal protective equipment (PPE) and conduct guidelines.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Preferred 1 year of experience in landscaping or a related field.
Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions accurately and efficiently.
Proficiency in operating landscape maintenance tools and equipment.
Physically capable of performing job duties, including lifting and operating equipment.
Strong communication skills and a professional, courteous demeanor.
Drivers only: Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience.
Work Environment:
Outdoor work in various weather conditions, with exposure to dirt, water, chemicals, and noise.
Physical Demands:
Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, standing, squatting, walking for extended periods, and reaching overhead.
Regular lifting, pulling, and pushing of materials and equipment.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
Travel:
Daily travel to and from job sites in a company vehicle.
