Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is needed to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Hope Mills, NC. This position is offered as a contract role for the full school year (NSY), providing valuable assistance in delivering speech and language services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing individualized speech therapy plans for students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Monitor student progress and document therapy outcomes.
- Prepare materials and set up equipment needed for therapy sessions.
- Support the Speech-Language Pathologist during assessments and therapy sessions.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and team members to support student progress.
Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA license or certification.
- Experience working with children in educational settings preferred.
- Knowledge of speech and language disabilities and intervention techniques.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
