ICU Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Henderson, NC 27536 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)

• Employment Type: Locum Tenens, Travel Nurse Contract
• Start Date: September 15, 2025
• End Date: December 15, 2025

• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1800 - $1840
• Unit Size: 8-bed ICU
• Patient Ratios: 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Electronic Health Record: Paragon EHR
• Scrub Color: Navy blue or black

ICU RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (North Carolina or compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care critical care nursing experience
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Proficient in ventilator management and critical drips (inotropes, conotropes, etc.)
• Ability to float to Progressive Care Unit (PCU nurse jobs) as needed
• CCRN certification preferred

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the ICU
• Monitor and manage patients requiring advanced life support, ventilators, and critical drips
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Paragon EHR
• Float to PCU as needed to support patient care and clinical operations
• Participate in ongoing education and orientation (weekly, on Mondays)
