Lead Commercial HVAC Installer
Atlantic Staffing Consultants has a Lead Commercial HVAC Installer opening for a well-established client in the Raleigh, NC area.

VALID NC DRIVER'S LICENSE REQUIRED WITH A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD.

Duties of the Lead Commercial HVAC Installer:
*Study installation instructions, plans, written scope, and specifications before work.
*Gather proper materials with support from the Project Manager.
*Install equipment including Air Handlers, Roof Top Units, Mini-Split Units, Variable Air Volume Units, Boilers, Chillers, AC Compressors, Hot water, Chill Water, and Steam Coils, Dedicated Outside Air Units, Steam Systems, Heat Exchangers, Split Heat Pump Units, Furnaces, duct, wiring, refrigerant. gas, chilled water, hot water, and condensate piping according to plans, specifications, addenda, equipment installation instructions, code requirements, and the project manager.
*Work may include assistance with Fire Sprinkler and Plumbing System installations.
*Make final wiring and pipe connections according to local codes.
*Workers should be able to: Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy; make decisions based on measurable criteria.
*Ensure that the equipment installed does not interfere with building structures or other preexisting work.
*Check equipment start-up and operation.
*Supervise and assign job duties to Mechanics and/or helper(s) as appropriate.
*Monitor Mechanics and Helper’s work and assist the helper in learning proper installation techniques and use/care of tools.
*Coordinate and Schedule Subcontractors, material deliveries, and job site inspections as necessary.
*Take responsibility for company tools at the job site and return them to the shop when finished.
*Report damaged or lost tools to the Project Manager.
*Notify the Project Manager of problems or accidents encountered on the job.
*Take precautions during all phases of job performance to avoid accidents.
*Fill in Daily Reports and submit them daily.
*Fill in timecards (for self, mechanics, and helpers) accurately and daily.
*Exercise behavior that ensures personal safety and the safety of coworkers and promotes a positive company image.
*Support and assist other trades performed by Client’s Company as directed by the supervisor.
*Other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications of the Lead Commercial HVAC Installer:
* EPA Certification Preferred.
* Must be over 18 years old.
* Must know construction techniques.
* Must have some experience supervising others.
* Must be able to make decisions regarding minor problems at job sites.
* Must display leadership qualities in working with a helper.
* Must show tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers.
Physical Requirements of the Lead Commercial HVAC Installer:
* Work easily and skillfully with their hands.
* Lift and carry objects weighing up to 150 pounds. (Equivalent of 3 5-Gallon Water Bottles)
* Must be able to hear and see well (either naturally or with corrective lenses) and distinguish colors.
* Must be able to climb and maintain balance on high ladders and scaffolds.
* Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
* May be required to be licensed.
Shift and Pay for the Lead Commercial HVAC Installer:
* Monday – Friday
* 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with alternating on-call
* Starting Pay: $28 - $38 per hour DOE
* Plus a Company Vehicle to be used for Company Business
* Temp-To-Hire Position!
