JOB SUMMARY Â

MTorres  America Limited is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our Services Team. Â

This position is fully  onsite  at our  customer’s  aeronautical manufacturing facilities in Kinston, North Carolina. The role requires daily presence at the customer site and involves hands-on work in a dynamic industrial environment. Â

You will work directly with CNC/PLC ‑ controlled systems, performing diagnostics, calibrations, and process optimization to ensure  optimal  machine performance. The role also includes supporting machine acceptance activities and providing hands ‑ on training to customer personnel. Â

In addition, you will collaborate closely with our Service teams to coordinate interventions, respond to technical incidents, and contribute to  Service  initiatives in a dynamic, customer ‑ facing environment. Â

MAIN Â RESPONSIBILITIES :Â Â

Â

• Troubleshoot and repair CNC/PLC systems, including alarm analysis and root ‑ cause identification. Â

• Perform machine calibrations, adjustments, and process optimization tasks. Â

• Support machine acceptance procedures and deliver customer training on proper machine operation. Â

• Coordinate with internal Service teams to plan and execute service interventions and respond to customer incidents. Â

• Contribute to  Services  activities, including documentation, service reports, and technical support. Â

• Develop technical content for manuals (operation, troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance). Â

• Maintain thorough project records and documentation. Â

• Comply with  company policies and meet performance expectations. Â

• Communicate relevant project information to the project coordinator. Â

EDUCATION , Â EXPERIENCE Â AND OTHER REQUIREMENTSÂ Â

Â

• 5 years of experience in similar  roles , preferably commissioning and services 5-axis machines  in  the  aeronautics industry Â

• High School diploma  /  Associates  degree or technical certification in related field or higher preferred  /  Computer Science, Mechatronics or Automation Engineering  Bachelor Degree . Â

• Experience with Siemens  Sinumerik  –  Sinumerik  Operate CNC software. Â

• Experience with Siemens TIA Portal V15 PLC software. Â

• Strong troubleshooting skills using CNC & PLC software, including alarm tracing and root ‑ cause analysis. Â

• Ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics. Â

• Ability to rebuild cable connectors (Ethernet, Profibus, power cables, Harting connectors). Â

• Experience aligning 5 ‑ axis CNC machines using Renishaw laser interferometer, granite squares, dial indicators, or laser tracker. Â

• Ability to disassemble, replace, and adjust mechanical components. Â

• Ability to replace plug ‑ and ‑ play modules. Â

• Experience with C++ (Visual Studio Code). Â

• Ability to work with SQL Server Management Studio. Â

• Availability to work onsite at the customer facility across all shifts, including weekends, and to work beyond 8 hours/day or  40 hours /week when  required . Â
