Interim Senior Accountant
Onsite | Triad Area, NC
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting core accounting operations in a fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for ensuring accuracy across the general ledger, supporting month-end close, and partnering with internal teams to maintain strong financial reporting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances
- Assist with financial reporting, including internal statements and supporting schedules
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data flow
- Support audit requests and ensure documentation is complete and organized
- Identify and help implement process improvements within accounting workflows
- Maintain compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
Qualifications:
- 4 years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger and month-end close
- Strong understanding of core accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience working in an ERP system (any major platform; able to learn quickly)
- Proficiency in Excel (lookups, pivots, sorting, and basic formulas)
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
