SURRY YADKIN WORKS UNIT SECRETARY

PRN- Hours may vary.
Must be in the Surry Yadkin Works program to apply. Under the supervision of the Charge Nurse or delegate, assists in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the activities occurring in the nursing station by performing clerical and receptionist duties, and maintaining the physical environment of the area
Education and Formal Training: High School graduate or equivalent. (Typically this position is filled with am employee with nursing assistant certification). New employees required to have certification will be expected to have current certification at new hire or obtain within 30 days of hire date . They will be given one month grace period for completing BCLS renewal.. If not renewed by the end of this one month (BCLS) the employee will not be allowed to work or use PTO.
Work Experience: At least two favorable work references. Prefer at least one year experience as a unit secretary, Nursing Assistant with additional training or related experience with typing skills.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Possesses a sense of responsibility, initiative and honesty and ability to follow directions accurately. Medical terminology proficiency.
