Grandfather Golf & Country Club, a prestigious golf and country club located in Linville, NC, is seeking new & experienced servers who are positive, outing, passionate and hardworking to join our team. Our Food and Beverage operation is critical to our success and our team members have a tremendous impact on our members dining experience. We offer our members various outlets for dining ranging from very casual to fine dining.

Responsibilities:

• Position requires working in different outlets, and serving during our member events.
• Greet and seat members and guests in a courteous and professional manner.
• Take food and beverage orders and ensure accuracy of all orders.
• Deliver food and beverage orders to tables in a timely and efficient manner.
• Respond promptly to members' and guests' requests and inquiries.
• Follow established policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Ensure that tables are cleaned and reset after use.
• Assist with food and beverage inventory management and restocking.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Role includes set up and break down for various club events.
• Schedule requires being available for all major holidays through July.
• Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Ability to lift and carry trays, plates, glassware, and other items up to 30 pounds
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and carry out repetitive motions as needed
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a busy dining environment

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Server experience in a fast-paced, high-end restaurant or country club setting not required but preferred.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service procedures, etiquette, and safety standards not required but preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays through July.
• Participation in club events is required
