ER RN Job Details Location: Wilson, NC 27893 (Eastern North Carolina nursing jobs) Assignment Length: 13 weeks Start Date: July 7, 2025 End Date: October 6, 2025 Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1680 - $1730 Setting: Emergency Department (ED), 17 beds Patient Ratio: 1:4 Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Orientation: Bi-weekly Registered Nurse Qualifications ~ Active RN license (North Carolina or compact state) ~2-3 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience ~ Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience ~ Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIH Stroke (required for ER nursing jobs) ~ Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) ~ Ability to provide safe, efficient care for patients of varying acuity ~ Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability skills ~ Must reside 60+ miles from Wilson, NC to qualify for travel nurse status Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients in a fast-paced emergency department Monitor and respond to changes in patient status, initiating timely interventions Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes Accurately document patient care using ED Paragon EHR Participate in self-scheduling via the When to Work app Maintain compliance with hospital policies and dress code (Navy Blue scrubs; no hoodies) Discover the best of Wilson, North Carolina—a welcoming city with a rich history, thriving arts scene, and easy access to both urban amenities and outdoor recreation.
