Responsibilities: 1. Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition for engineering projects.
2. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
3. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
4. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
5. Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
6. Support month-end and year-end close process.
7. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
8. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
9. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
10. Liaise with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate financial reporting and cost tracking on projects.
11. Conduct CAM reconciliations and handle property accounting for all commercial real estate projects. Job Details Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field; CPA or MBA preferred.
2. Minimum of 3+ years of proven accounting experience, preferably in the engineering or construction industry.
3. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
4. Experience with creating financial statements and general ledger functions.
5. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
6. Proficiency in Commercial Real Estate Accounting, Year-End Close, Property Accounting, and CAM Reconciliations.
7. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
10. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
