Autism 360™ specializes in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder, using a wrap‑around care model to support children and their families. We are growing across the greater Charlotte area and are seeking a motivated Business Development Representative to build and maintain strong referral relationships in the community.
About the role
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing referral sources to drive new client growth for Autism 360’s ABA therapy services. This is a heavily field‑based role that requires daily travel throughout Charlotte, Matthews, Gastonia, Shelby, Hickory, Conover and Huntersville to meet with physicians, schools, community organizations, and other partners.
Key responsibilities
Develop and execute a territory plan to grow referrals for Autism 360’s ABA therapy services within the assigned markets.
Prospect, schedule, and conduct in‑person meetings and presentations with pediatricians, neurologists, school counselors, social workers, and community organizations.
Build and maintain long‑term relationships with referral partners through regular visits, calls, and events.
Educate community partners on Autism 360’s mission, services, and referral process.
Track outreach activities, leads, and referral trends in a CRM system and report on pipeline and performance.
Collaborate closely with clinical, intake, and operations teams to ensure a smooth experience for families.
Represent Autism 360 at community events, resource fairs, and professional conferences as needed.
Qualifications
Based in the Charlotte, NC area with the ability and willingness to travel daily across Charlotte, Matthews, Gastonia, Shelby, Hickory, Conover, and Huntersville.
2+ years of experience in business development, physician relations, referral development, or outside sales; healthcare, behavioral health, or autism services experience strongly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding outreach and growth targets.
Strong communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills.
Comfortable working independently in the field, managing your own schedule, and documenting activity in a CRM.
Passion for serving children with autism and their families and representing Autism 360’s mission and values in the community.
Work environment and schedule
Full‑time, exempt role.
Primarily field‑based with frequent driving within the territory.
Based at Home Office in Charlotte (University area)
Occasional early morning, evening, or weekend events based on community and partner needs.
