Part-Time Warehouse Packer / Door Builder (24-30 Hours/Week)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Warehouse Packer / Door Builder to support our production and shipping operations. This role involves packaging finished doors, assisting with door assembly, and supporting warehouse coordination. Cross-training is provided, making this a great opportunity to gain hands-on manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities:

• Package finished aluminum storm doors for shipment
• Read work orders to select correct hardware and materials
• Assemble cardboard packaging for doors
• Pick up and place completed doors onto carts
• Assist with door assembly using pneumatic air screwdrivers and other power tools
• Gather door parts from carts and place them on assembly tables
• Install hardware such as hinges, locks, and handles
• Inspect completed doors and components for quality and accuracy
• Maintain organization of shipping paperwork and work areas
• Coordinate customer pick-ups as needed
• Cross-train in other production areas (e.g., extrusion processing, small punch presses)
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to consistently lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, lift, and carry materials for extended periods
• Ability to read a tape measure and work orders
• Ability to understand English
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Self-starter comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Experience with hand and power tools is preferred but not required
