Position Summary:
The Finance Leader will oversee daily accounting operations, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, and act as a strategic financial partner to the President. This role combines operational and business finance expertise, strong cost accounting acumen, and the ability to collaborate effectively across production, supply chain, and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month-end close processes.
• Lead plant-level financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
• Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and inventory valuation.
• Partner with plant management to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency.
• Prepare and present monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for accounting processes.
• Mentor and supervise accounting specialist, fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability.
• Partner with Corporate Controller in supporting the annual financial statement audit

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience , with time spent in a manufacturing or plant finance role.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in the Wilmington, NC area and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
