Data Quality Engineer

We are seeking a Data Quality Engineer with a strong background in data quality, data governance, and SQL , ideally within the banking industry . This role requires hands-on experience working with large enterprise-level data environments and a deep understanding of how data moves through complex systems. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills to work directly with business stakeholders.

• Ensure data quality and integrity across systems, processes, and reports.

• Implement and maintain data quality frameworks, tools, and standards across the organization.

• Collaborate with business and technical teams to identify, document, and resolve data issues.

• Develop and run SQL queries to profile, analyze, and monitor data quality.

• Support data governance initiatives, including data lineage, metadata management, and stewardship activities.

• Provide insights on ETL processes and help ensure smooth and accurate data movement across platforms.

• Communicate data issues and resolutions effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

✅ Minimum 5+ years of experience in data quality, data governance, and data management
✅ Strong recent SQL skills (must be hands-on)
✅ Extensive banking experience — deep understanding of how data flows within an enterprise-level banking organization
✅ Familiarity with ETL processes and ability to understand data movement across systems
✅ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
✅ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
✅ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have:

• Experience with data quality tools (e.g., Informatica DQ, Collibra, Talend)

• Familiarity with regulatory data requirements in the banking sector
