Regional Sales Manager
Regional Sales Manager - Construction Equipment
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established construction equipment dealership representing one of the industry's leading OEMs for a Regional Sales Manager to lead a high-performing sales team across the Carolinas.
This is a unique opportunity to inherit one of the company's strongest territories, managing several of its highest-performing salespeople while playing a key role in the continued development of the business. The dealership has an excellent market presence, a strong product offering and significant growth potential, with senior leadership committed to strengthening the organisation for the long term.
The Role
The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for leading equipment sales across a key territory covering parts of North and South Carolina, including responsibility for:
- Leadership and development of a team of 5-6 construction equipment sales representatives
- Coaching, mentoring and performance management of an experienced, high-performing sales team
- Maintaining and developing relationships with key customers throughout the territory
- Supporting sales representatives through field coaching, joint customer visits and opportunity management
- Driving market share growth while maintaining strong customer satisfaction
- Working closely with Product Support and Operations leadership to improve customer outcomes
- Recruiting, onboarding and developing future sales talent as the business continues to grow
- Monitoring sales performance, forecasting, pipeline activity and regional business planning
- Developing a collaborative culture focused on accountability, professionalism and continuous improvement
This is a leadership role rather than a personal sales position. The successful individual will be expected to develop their team, remove obstacles to performance and build strong relationships across both Sales and Product Support functions.
Candidate Profile
The client is looking for an experienced sales leader with a strong background within the construction equipment industry.
Suitable candidates may currently hold titles such as:
- Regional Sales Manager
- Sales Manager
- District Sales Manager
- Branch Manager
- General Manager
- Director of Sales
Candidates should be able to demonstrate:
- Previous leadership experience within a construction equipment dealership
- A successful track record managing and developing experienced sales professionals
- Strong coaching, leadership and people development skills
- The credibility to lead high-performing, experienced salespeople
- Commercial awareness with the ability to grow market share and customer relationships
- Experience working collaboratively across Sales, Service and Product Support
- A hands-on leadership style focused on accountability, communication and team development
The ideal individual will enjoy building relationships, developing people and helping improve an already successful business rather than simply maintaining the status quo.
Compensation & Benefits
The successful candidate can expect a highly competitive package including:
Base salary
Quarterly performance-based bonus
Company vehicle or vehicle allowance
Medical, dental and vision insurance
401(k) with company contribution
Paid time off and company holidays
Short- and long-term disability coverage
Relocation assistance where required
This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious construction equipment sales leader to take responsibility for one of the dealership's premier territories, work alongside an experienced leadership team and position themselves for future progression into executive leadership.
All conversations and applications will be handled in the strictest confidence.
