Project Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Cary, NC, supporting industrial construction projects with a focus on Life Sciences facilities. This role is ideal for a construction professional who can manage project planning, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, cost controls, safety, quality, and closeout with confidence. The Project Manager will work closely with clients, engineers, consultants, contractors, accounting teams, and operations personnel to deliver complex projects successfully. Key Responsibilities - Lead project planning, budgeting, resource allocation, buy-out, subcontractor assignments, scheduling, and day-to-day project coordination.- Manage project financial performance, including project P&L, weekly actual costs, monthly client billing, and change order documentation.
- Maintain project files and documentation in Procore, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, reports, closeout documents, and required compliance records.
- Support safety, quality assurance, and quality control through regular job site walks, schedule tracking, and coordination with field supervision.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, engineers, subcontractors, professional associations, and regional industry contacts.
- Prepare Davis-Bacon wage reports, LEED reporting, closeout documentation, and lessons learned analysis at project completion. Compensation and Benefits - Salary range: $80,000 to $95,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Manage industrial construction projects from planning through closeout.- Oversee project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, documentation, safety, and quality control.
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, consultants, contractors, accounting, and operations teams.
- Maintain accurate project reporting, cost tracking, billing support, and compliance documentation. - Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the industrial construction industry.
- Experience supporting Life Sciences construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of Procore and Primavera software.
- Familiarity with Touchplan or similar task planning software.
- Proficiency with construction industry software and general computer applications.
- Strong understanding of project P&L, RFIs, submittals, change orders, closeout documentation, and subcontractor coordination.
- Excellent problem-solving, organization, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively and collaborate with diverse project teams. Preferred Qualifications - 6 to 10 years of construction project management experience.
- Experience with Davis-Bacon wage reporting and LEED requirement reporting.
- Established relationships or experience working within the regional construction, industrial facilities, or infrastructure market.
- Prior experience participating in client outreach, professional associations, or regional industry events.
