Overview:
Are you passionate about building relationships and driving growth in the multifamily and apartment industry space? At Middleton Meyers, we're looking for a dynamic and results-oriented VP, Business Development team member to lead our efforts in expanding our management services customer base within the multifamily housing sector. If you're a strategic thinker who thrives on creating opportunities, fostering partnerships, and delivering exceptional service, this is the role for you!
You'll be at the forefront of our growth strategy, focusing on expanding our footprint. You'll work closely with property owners and investors, apartment associations, and industry stakeholders to identify opportunities, build lasting relationships, and deliver solutions that meet their unique needs.
What Youll Do:
- Lead Generation & Prospecting:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Utilize various Property Management tools (CRM, LinkedIn, real estate databases) to build and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
- Sales & Relationship Management:
- Initiate contact with leads through cold calls, emails, networking events, and referrals.
- Understand client needs and communicate how our services can address those needs.
- Schedule and conduct meetings and presentations to pitch Middleton Meyers third party property management solutions.
- Proposal Development:
- Assist in the preparation of proposals, RFP responses, and service agreements.
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, finance, legal) to ensure tailored, competitive offerings.
- Market Research:
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes within the property management industry.
- Provide insights and feedback to support the refinement of service offerings.
- Reporting & CRM Management:
- Track interactions and opportunities in the CRM system.
- Prepare regular reports on lead status, pipeline progress, and sales performance.
What Youll Need to Succeed:
- 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or client relations (experience in real estate/property management is a strong plus).
- Proven strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with local real estate markets and property management regulations.
- Experience working with residential and commercial property owners.
- Understanding of property management software platforms.
