Are you an experienced gymnastics coach with a passion for helping athletes reach their highest potential? Oak City Gymnastics is looking for dedicated, skilled, and enthusiastic Competitive Team Coaches to lead and inspire our athletes at various levels. We are building a program where athletes thrive through discipline, encouragement, and teamwork — and we want coaches who share that vision.
What You’ll DoAs a Competitive Gymnastics Coach , you’ll play an essential role in training and supporting athletes in Developmental Program (DP) Levels 6–10 and/or Xcel Diamond, Sapphire, and Bronze–Platinum . Responsibilities include:
Coaching competitive gymnasts at advanced levels in line with USAG standards
Jumping in to assist with other groups or levels to support the overall team and gym community
Designing and executing structured, progressive training plans focused on skill development, conditioning, flexibility, and routine mastery
Providing clear, positive, and constructive feedback to help athletes grow in confidence and performance
Ensuring a safe training environment through proper spotting and safety protocols
Traveling with the team to local, regional, and national competitions
Collaborating with fellow coaches to maintain a consistent coaching philosophy and track athlete progress
Communicating openly with gymnasts, parents, and the coaching team
Staying up to date on USAG rules, technical updates, and competition requirements
We’re seeking a coach who brings a blend of technical expertise, positivity, and professionalism:
Proven experience coaching competitive gymnasts at DP and/or Xcel levels
Strong technical knowledge in skills, drills, progressions, and routines
Confident in spotting advanced-level skills safely
Committed to creating a positive, disciplined, and encouraging team culture
Team-oriented, reliable, and motivated to build something special with us
Excellent communicator who values collaboration with both athletes and parents
Current USA Gymnastics (USAG) certification required
