Decontamination Technician

Pay for Decontamination Technician:

Hourly: $25.00 an hour

Location for Decontamination Technician:

Wilmington, North Carolina

No relocation allowance.

No per diem

Experiences for Decontamination Technician:

• Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be an American citizen or authorized to work in United States.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to work well with others and maintain a professional environment.

Physical demands for Decontamination Technician:

• Must be able to lift 50lbs overhead.

• Must be able to push, pull, lift, climb, and extend as required for the job.
• Able to stand, bend & kneel for extended periods of time.
• Can expect to wear protective clothing for 4-6 hours per day.
• Must be able to wear a respirator

Job Summary for Decontamination Technician:

The Decontamination Technician will be responsible for the following duties:

• Maintain and operate decontamination equipment, facilities and supplies.
• Perform general housekeeping duties in high radiation and controlled areas.
• Decontaminate facility surfaces such as boxes, equipment, floors, etc.
• Transfer radioactive used material and radioactive waste into proper containers.
• Monitor and maintain personal protective equipment supplies.
• Operate ventilation and vacuum cleaning equipment.
• Operate a fork truck
• Support other areas as directed by Operations Manager
