Product & Digital Solutions Consultant (Contract)
Supporting Eagle Bus Service & Tar Heel Parts
About Us
Eagle Bus Service is a growing school transportation company serving public, private, and charter schools throughout the Charlotte region. Tar Heel Parts is an expanding eCommerce and distribution business focused on automotive restoration and transportation parts.
We are seeking a long-term technology partner to help us own and expand our internal technology platform rather than relying solely on third-party software.
Project Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Product & Digital Solutions Consultant who can design, develop, and maintain business applications while helping define our long-term technology strategy.
This is a contract position expected to average 30–40 hours per week with ongoing work across two companies.
Primary Project (Immediate Priority)
Eagle Registration Platform
Design and build an Eagle-owned parent registration platform that includes:
- Parent login
- Student registration
- Student database
- Parent dashboard
- Administrative dashboard
- School-specific registration management
- Parent-pay functionality (future phase)
- MyRide K-12 CSV export/integration
- QuickBooks integration
- Email notifications
- Reporting dashboards
- Website development/enhancements to support ongoing marketing and google reviews for our business

Responsibilities
- Gather business requirements from leadership.
- Design scalable business applications.
- Develop and maintain internal software.
- Build API integrations.
- Design databases.
- Create technical documentation.
- Test and deploy applications.
- Recommend technology architecture.
- Maintain and improve existing applications.
- Work closely with finance and operations teams.
Required Skills
- Full-stack web development
- Modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Next.js, Vue, or similar)
- Database design (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.)
