ER RN Job Details – Franklin, NC

• Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Locum Tenens / Travel Nursing
• Location: Franklin, North Carolina 28734
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1640-$1680
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts)
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 9/22/2025 – End: 12/22/2025)
• Patient Ratios: 4:1 typical, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Support Staff: Techs, unit clerks, cardiac monitoring
• EMR: Cerner
• Scheduling: Every other weekend required; flexible scheduling available

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (North Carolina or compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an emergency room setting
• Experience in Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume emergency department (100,000+ visits/year) preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS (prior to start)
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the emergency department
• Professionalism, respectful behavior, and commitment to patient-centered care (AIDET)

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to diverse patient populations
• Perform advanced clinical procedures and nursing interventions as needed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members, including techs and unit clerks
• Utilize Cerner EMR for accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Float to all sections of the emergency department as required
• Maintain updated patient boards and ensure clear patient communication throughout their visit
• Adhere to department guidelines, hospital policies, and dress code (navy scrubs)
• Demonstrate commitment to patient safety, clinical quality, and satisfaction
