We are seeking an experienced Estate Planning Attorney to join our sophisticated private client practice. The ideal candidate will advise high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners, and executives on complex estate planning, wealth preservation, business succession, and trust administration matters. This role requires exceptional client service, strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients and their advisors.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement sophisticated estate plans for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
• Draft and review wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, gifting strategies, and related estate planning documents.
• Advise clients on estate, gift, generation-skipping transfer, and income tax planning strategies.
• Counsel business owners regarding succession planning, family business transfers, and liquidity planning.
• Work collaboratively with accountants, financial advisors, family offices, and other professional advisors.
• Guide fiduciaries and beneficiaries through trust and estate administration matters.
• Identify opportunities for advanced planning techniques and wealth preservation strategies.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service and responsiveness.
• Participate in business development, community involvement, and professional networking activities.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar.
• 5+ years of estate planning experience, preferably representing high-net-worth individuals and families.
• Strong understanding of federal estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax laws.
• Experience drafting sophisticated trust and estate planning documents.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and client counseling skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.
• Proven ability to manage complex matters independently while collaborating with a team.

Preferred Experience

• LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning.
• Experience with charitable planning, family limited partnerships, grantor trusts, and business succession planning.
• Existing professional referral network or demonstrated business development success.
