Director of Spend Management

Accentuate Staffing is recruiting for a Director of Spend Management to join our client in Raleigh, NC. This role will lead the company’s operating expense and strategic sourcing functions, driving optimization strategies that align with organizational goals, enhance vendor partnerships, and maximize the impact of sourcing and expense management.

Responsibilities:

• Lead development of multi-year and rolling forecasts, set budget targets, and communicate financial impacts to senior leadership.
• Analyze spending patterns to identify savings opportunities and ensure alignment with financial plans.
• Establish and enforce expense policies, streamline processes, and drive automation while ensuring compliance with company and parent organization guidelines.
• Oversee strategic sourcing, vendor selection, and supplier performance to maximize efficiency, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, ensuring contract terms and service levels are met or exceeded.
• Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing finance team while collaborating with executives, operations, and IT.
• Drive cost transparency across business units through effective cost allocation and clear financial communication.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of finance experience with expertise in expense management, forecasting, and cost optimization.
• Proven track record in budgeting, cost control, and financial planning systems (e.g., Anaplan, OneStream).
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office; experience with AI/RPA tools and IT spend management systems a plus.
• Strong executive communication skills with the ability to influence decision-making at the leadership level.
• Strategic, inquisitive mindset with a continuous improvement approach.
