Primary Function: The Logistics Analyst II provides support services and is responsible for overseeing day-to-day inventory control, along with the shipping and receiving of equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain accountability for equipment and supply stockage by requisitioning, receiving, storing, issuing, and accurately inventorying equipment and repair parts. Ensure proper handling and documentation, including stock records, inventory reports, and material control documents. Verify quantities received against bills of lading, purchase requests, and shipping documents, and process repairable and turn-in items efficiently
• Unload, unpack, count, segregate, palletize, and store incoming supplies and equipment. Construct and organize storage solutions, such as bins and shelving, to optimize space and ensure efficient access to materials.
• Coordinate with various internal customers and external shipping companies, including FedEx, UPS, USPS, and commercial trucking services, to ensure timely and accurate delivery of equipment and supplies. This involves scheduling pickups and deliveries, tracking shipments, resolving any issues that arise during transit, and maintaining effective communication with carriers to optimize logistics operations.
• Analyze current logistics processes to identify areas for improvement. Develop and implement procedures that align with business objectives. This includes conducting thorough evaluations of supply chain operations, transportation methods, and inventory management practices. Recommend and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and meet organizational goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure new procedures are integrated smoothly and effectively.
• Employee should expect to be assigned additional duties as needed to support the overall success of the team. This includes assisting colleagues with various tasks and responsibilities, which will occasionally involve helping to maintain the cleanliness of the office and shop facilities, including restrooms. Qualifications/Experience: Preferred candidates will have an associate’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration or a related field from an accredited university/college with six years of experience in military logistics; or military equivalent training in logistics and eight years of experience.

Additional Requirements:

• Knowledge in shipping, receiving, storing, issuing stock control measures and accounting procedures.
• Candidates must have proven experience operating forklifts. Certification in forklift operation is preferred. Familiarity with safety protocols and maintenance checks is essential.
• Preferred Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A) experience
• Preferred Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) experience
• Ability to multi-task effectively, prioritize and execute against multiple priorities
• Advanced knowledge of databases and spreadsheets; excellent data entry skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Proactive mindset with the ability to work with limited supervision
• Preferred candidates will live within a 15-minute radius of Aberdeen, NC.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government TS security clearance

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, climb stairs and ladders. The employee must frequently lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move weight above 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The job requires occasional overtime.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, heavy equipment and high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

Travel Regular travel is not anticipated for this position. Overall travel is expected to be less than 5% of total work hours.
