Radiology Technologist Job Details

• Location: Asheville, NC 28801 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)
• Facility: Large acute care hospital (800+ beds)
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens, travel/contract radiology technologist position
• Start Date: October 20, 2025
• End Date: January 19, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12-hour day shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Rotation: Required

• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1460–$1500

Radiology Technologist Qualifications

• Active ARRT (R) certification (Registered Radiologic Technologist)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist in a hospital or clinical setting
• Proficiency in diagnostic radiology, including portable, trauma, and operating room (OR) imaging
• Experience with emergency department trauma imaging preferred
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Radiology Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures: portable, trauma, fluoroscopic, and surgical imaging
• Operate GE and Shiatzu radiology equipment, C-arms (OEC), and O-arms (Medtronics)
• Document and manage workflow using Cerner Rad Net EMR
• Collaborate with radiology technologists, supervisors, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care
• Participate in weekend and on-call rotations as required
• Maintain professionalism and compassion in all patient and team interactions
