Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A K-12 Special Education Teacher position is available for a contract covering the full school year in High Point, NC. This role focuses on delivering specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring individualized education plans (IEPs) are effectively implemented to foster academic and social growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute customized lesson plans aligned with state standards and IEP goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student success
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjust instruction accordingly, and maintain accurate documentation
• Provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that promotes learning and positive behavior
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching license or certification applicable to K-12 students
• Experience working with students with disabilities across the elementary and secondary levels
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, instructional strategies, and behavioral interventions
• Ability to adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet diverse student needs
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
